Sarcopenia is a progressive systemic musculoskeletal disorder associated with falls, fractures, mobility disorders, cardiac and respiratory disease, cognitive impairment, institutionalization, and death. It is preventable and treatable.
This presentation will examine the definition, identification, risk factors, and consequences of sarcopenia. Better risk factor identification and management solutions will be examined with an agenda to target this disorder more successfully in the future
